Privacy Policy

Effective: 2026-03-17

Holds ("the App") is developed and operated by Felix Niedermann. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding that data.

1. Data We Collect

The App is designed to work fully offline. If you choose to create an account and enable cloud sync, the following data is stored on our servers: email address (for authentication), workout data (exercises, sets, reps, weight, duration, notes, tags), templates, bodyweight entries, and app preferences.

If you use the App without an account, all data stays on your device and nothing is sent to any server.

2. How We Use Your Data

Your data is used solely to provide the App's functionality: syncing workouts across devices, calculating statistics and progress, and restoring data if you switch devices.

We do not sell, share, or use your data for advertising. We do not use your data to train machine learning models.

3. Third-Party Services

The App may use the following services:

Supabase Authentication and database hosting (EU servers). Only used when cloud sync is enabled. See Supabase Privacy Policy.
Expo / EAS Handles app updates. Anonymous device metadata may be collected for crash reporting.

No analytics, tracking, or advertising SDKs are included in the App.

4. Data Storage & Security

Local data is stored in an encrypted SQLite database on your device. Cloud data is stored in a Supabase-managed PostgreSQL database with row-level security policies ensuring only you can access your own data. Authentication tokens are stored using the platform's secure storage (Keychain on iOS).

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account through Settings, all your data is permanently removed from our servers. Local data is only removed if you uninstall the App.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to: access your data (visible within the App), export your data (workout history is accessible on-device), delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings, and use the App entirely offline without creating an account.

7. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Changes will be posted here with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
